How to manage a thermal burn on a reptile from a heat lamp or rock?
Immediate actions — first 60 seconds
1. Cool the burn area with room-temperature sterile saline solution.
Remove the direct heat source. Apply a thin layer of silver sulfadiazine cream or diluted antiseptic. Avoid petroleum jellies.
