How to handle a prolapse in a reptile or amphibian?
Immediate actions — first 60 seconds
1. Keep the protruding tissue clean and moist.
Apply warm sterile saline or a concentrated sugar-water solution to help reduce tissue swelling. Transport on a damp towel to a veterinarian.
